Book look: Rolls-Royce

A meeting of two engineers exactly 110 years ago started what would develop into one of the most prestigious luxury brands in the world.1

“Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it,” was the motto of Sir Henry Royce who partnered up with Charles Stewart Rolls in Manchester, England, in 1904.

Now the elegance of Rolls-Royce is celebrated in a new picture book. On 180 pages, fans of distinctive design and elegance can find out more about the company’s philosophy. Andreas Braun’s book also features technical information – and brilliant pictures. All relevant Rolls-Royce models of the past decades are on display – in full and on artistic photographs focussing on dashboard decoration and other details.

Texts in German and English help to enhance one’s knowledge about the firm’s development over the years. Astonishing facts about changes in production and distribution and several drawings and graphics make this book a very special publication.
