The 11th edition of the Afrika Tage kicked off yesterday. Sali Keita, Jamaram and many more will rock the Donauinsel, the Austrian city’s Danube island dam. Delicious culinary offers and a clothing and accessories market are also part of the setting.
The concert of Dissidenten is set to be the musical highlight of this year’s event. The German band – who have been around for more than 20 years – return to hit the open air stage tonight. Egyptian star Mohamed Mounir will join them.
Dissidenten started recording and touring in the early 1980s. Collaborations with artists of different genres and origins shape their oeuvre which balances between various genres.
